Tranquility
Tranquility speaks to me of peace, deep peace and calm. Where does this deep peace and calm come from? It comes from a deep connection I have with God. Thus, tranquility helps me to connect with God at a deep level. Whether I am in the midst of a storm, or enjoying life to the full, I am always surrounded by the deep love and peace God has for me. It is not always easy to get into that tranquil space, because doubts and fears are part of human nature and can totally overwhelm me if I allow it to happen. However, my favourite quote from Julian of Norwich says it all for me: "All will be well. All matter of things will be well". I have made that my daily mantra, to just sit in the Lord’s presence and allow God to whisper to me that "all will be well, all matter of things will be well".
