TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD

 God is full of wonderful surprises. It takes deep faith to see the wonder and beauty of His love in ordinary events of the day.


God is good even in the most trying of situations. When storms of life erupt,  one always questions "Where is God?"  Sometimes the mystery of God is so powerful that we cannot comprehend His love for us in difficult moments of our lives. Yet,  He is always there to carry us in our storm. Yes. God is great and His love is eternal.

In the midst of a storm,  we feel lost and confused.  We cry out to God who seem far away,  or who seem deaf to our cries. But,  do not fear. God is near.

It is with faith and trust that even in our darkest hour,  God is blowing away the wind,  the rain and the waves that engulf us. He is gently working in the background and clearing our path.

When we pray,  we need to pray with faith,  "Thy will be done,  Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven".  Jesus gave us that example when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane. "Father take this cup from me. But not my will,  but Your will be done". Then the Angel came to console Him. We also need to pray like that and at the hour of our need,  God will send us His Angel to comfort us.

So,  yes. I believe that in difficult moments,  I need to taste and see that God is good. He is not just good when the sun shines. He is good all the time.

There are hidden blessings in pain. The Cross is a gift. We all have a cross to carry,  otherwise we cannot be the Disciples of Christ. Yet, when we carry our cross willingly for His glory,  we are welcoming a new dawn,  the dawn of Resurrection and transformation. There cannot be an Easter Sunday without a Good Friday. We need  to take the good with the bad. When we embrace our cross,  we are saying yes to something beautiful yet to be unfolded which we cannot see immediately. But,  God always has a plan and His plan is full of wonder and awe,  radiating His goodness and love for each of us. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the plans I have for you",  says the Lord. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,  but to give you a hope and a future".

So,  be calm and blessed because God always reveals Himself in difficult moments. God is amazing and His love has no end.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is supreme in the Heavens and supreme on the earth. His love for you and me is eternal.

Let us rejoice and be glad!

Sower of Seeds

Good day everyone! As I began reflecting on the parable of the seed and the sower in the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 13, the parable of the sower, I suddenly got an Epiphany experience! For the first time I realised that we are the sower of seeds in our lives. God uses us in more ways than one to sow seeds into people's hearts. We have the power to sow either positive seeds into people's hearts where it can flourish and grow and become something beautiful, or we have an equal power to sow seeds of negativity.
